Gandalf is my favorite character, but Boromir is a very close 2nd.  There is just something about a guy who is able to mow down orcs when he has 3 huge arrow shafts sticking out of his chest.  That was the most awesome death scene I have ever seen, and won me over as a Boromir fan.

Boromir is alright with me, but he had to do that with arrows to redeem himself after he let his dark side out. So he's even as I see it right now. :D

He may only be even, but at least he went out redeeming himself, and I still think he's awesome.  He did get one upped by his brother though since Faramir was able to resist taking the ring in the end.  I'm sort of a Sean Bean fan to begin with so that helps too.

Boromir made me a Sean Bean fan honestly. Now everytime I see him in something (lately, as in since the first LOTR, it's been National Treasure, Silent Hill and Equilibrium) I tell everyone around me "Hey! Sean Bean's in it!" and they go "Who?" and I say "Boromir!" and they go "....." and I reply ",from Lord of the Rings!". Then they say "Ooooh".

And I was messing a little about the being even, he did go out redeeming himself, which is awesome.

That's pretty much how it was with me.  I never knew, or cared, who Sean Bean was before I saw LOTR.  I just recently decided to become a Boromir collector though.  Just got the 12" figure from Sideshow.  The Sean Bean autograph in the LOTR card set went for over $40 bucks on ebay though.  Probably be a while before I'm getting that one.
